To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received about the decision to hold the BNP bookshop inquiry at Crayford town hall; and if he will make a statement. [17796]

[holding answer 3 April 1995]: The provision of information on public local inquiries is the responsibility of the planning inspectorate. I have asked the inspectorate's chief executive, Mr. Chris Shepley, to write to the hon. Member.

PARLIAMENTARY QUESTION No. 117796/95/96 The Secretary of State has asked me to reply to your question about the representations he has received about the decision to hold the BNP bookshop inquiry at the Crayford Town Hall. In all, six representations have been received. Three were addressed to the Secretary of State, and all were referred to the Planning Inspectorate for reply.
