HC Deb 05 April 1995 vol 257 c1229W
Mr. Barnes

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security, pursuant to his answer of 20 March to the hon. Member for Ealing, North, (Mr. Greenway)Official Report, column 66, if he will list those organisations of and for the disabled and any other organisations which have made representations on the questions of disability legislation, and the number of letters received from the public and hon. Members on the subject; and what is the proportion in each category which supports the Disability Discrimination Bill. [18626]

Mr. Hague

I have received a wide range of representations on the question of disability legislation expressing a range of views, including support for and opposition to the Government's proposals. A detailed analysis of the correspondence could be carried out only at disproportionate cost.

An analysis of the content of those letters which were specifically responses to the Government's consultation document "Disability on the Agenda" is available in the Library.
