HC Deb 04 April 1995 vol 257 cc1089-90W
Mr. Morgan

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what consultations he has had with the Health and Safety Executive concerning the discontinuation of the forms KH 10a, b and c as regards the monitoring to adequate standards and statutory requirements of radiological protection for patients and staff. [18245]

Mr. Redwood

It was not necessary to consult the Health and Safety Executive before dropping these forms. The responsibility for maintaining adequate standards and meeting statutory requirements for the radiological protection of patients and staff is the responsibility of the district health authority or trust. The Welsh Office will shortly be issuing guidance to the health service in Wales setting out statutory requirements and general advice on the use of ionising radiation.
