§ Mr. JackThe Government share concerns about the depletion of fish stocks and the wider problems of the marine environment. We are reviewing the adequacy of existing mechanisms for fisheries management and will be taking soundings internationally about the possible value of a new initiative such as the establishment of an intergovernmental panel on the oceans.
