HC Deb 03 April 1995 vol 257 c960W
23. Mr. Pickthall

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how many railway stations in Britain have platforms which need raising to allow access to trains for wheelchair users or others with mobility difficulties. [15713]

Mr. Norris

The information requested is not available. Facilities for disabled passengers vary from station to station. Government proposals to improve accessibility at stations for disabled passengers are included in the Disability Discrimination Bill, published in January.
