§ Mr. NewtonOver 400 detailed responses were received from individuals and organisations during the consultation period on the Green Paper "Tackling Drugs Together". The great majority of respondents have very much welcomed the Government's initiative in developing a three-year strategy for tackling drug misuse and supported the main proposals. A number of issues on which clarification has been sought are being addressed in the preparation of a White Paper, which we intend to publish shortly.
