To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many patients in Northern Ireland, have been diagnosed as suffering from food-induced anaphylaxis, peanut allergy. [17013]

The information is not available in the form requested. During the year 1993–94, there were 32 admissions to hospital of patients suffering from anaphylactic shock. This figure would include any cases induced by peanut allergy.
