To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the incidents, giving in each case the date, type of incident with brief details, and the outcome, at Doncaster prison since 20 June to the latest available date.

[holding answer 24 October 1994]: Responsibility for this matter has been delegated to the director general of the Prison Service, who has been asked to arrange for a reply to be given.

Letter from Derek Lewis to Ms Joan Ruddock, dated 31 October 1994: The Home Secretary has asked me to reply to your recent Question asking for a list of incidents, giving in each case the date, type of incident with brief details, and the outcome, at Doncaster prison from 20 June to the latest available date. Incidents reported by establishments to Prison Service Headquarters fall into the two categories of "major" or "minor" as defined in Prison Service Circular Instruction 18/1988. Details of incidents reported by Doncaster during the period in question are attached.
