asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether and when they propose to enable Uzbekistan nationals to obtain entry visas to the United Kingdom at the British embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan rather than as at present from the British Embassy in Moscow.

We propose to commence a full visa service in Uzbekistan as soon as the necessary reinforcement in the Embassy's staff can be made. We expect this to be soon, and no later than the first quarter of 1995.
