§ Ms. Estelle MorrisTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the maximum sum available to the Birmingham area from new bids under the single regeneration budget in 1995–96 on a basis pro rata to the current distribution of the totality of programmes now within the single regeneration budget.
§ Sir. Paul BeresfordIn the current financial year forecast expenditure on the single regeneration budget nationally is £1442 million and it is expected that £68 million of this will be spent within Birmingham.
The amount of resources available to the Birmingham area for new bids will not be known until the results of the bidding round are announced in January 1995.
