To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will list all councils which have sex discrimination cases lodged against them.

The following councils currently have sex discrimination cases lodged against them before the industrial tribunals:

  1. Belfast City Council
  2. Ards Borough Council
  3. Armagh District Council.

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many people have lodged sex discrimination claims against local government employers in Northern Ireland.

Since 1 January 1989, 35 people have lodged sex discrimination claims against local government employers before the industrial tribunals.
