§ Mr. Cousins
To ask the President of the Board of Trade what disbursements have been made under the Policyholders Protection Act 1975 to(a) non-United Kingdom citizens or (b) non-United Kingdom residents in each of the last five years.

§ Mr. Neil Hamilton
In the current calendar year the Policyholders Protection Board has made payments amounting to US$86.8 million to policyholders based overseas. The board does not keep records on policyholders' citizenship. Figures for the previous four calendar years were negligible.
