To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on his plans to introduce legislation to implement the chemical weapons convention.

§ Mr. Heseltine
The United kingdom remains committed to the chemical weapons convention and 493W legislation to facilitate its ratification will be introduced as soon as parliamentary time and other Government legislative priorities permit.
