§ Mr. ChidgeyTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many 16 to 18-year-olds receive two days or more of quality training as a percentage of that age group.
§ Mr. PaiceEstimates from the spring 1994 labour force survey for Great Britain show that 76 per cent. of those aged 16 to 18 were in full-time education, on a Government employment or training programme or doing a recognised trade apprenticeship. Quality assurance procedures are in place for all Government training programmes funded by the Department but information on the quality of other training is not available.
