To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will supply figures for trade between the United Kingdom and Moldova for each year since 1989.

Information on United Kingdom trade with Moldova since January 1993 is published in "Business Monitor MM20, Overseas Trade Statistics of the United Kingdom", which is available in the Library of the House. Information is not available for earlier periods because Moldova was not separately identified from the rest of the former Soviet Union.

To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on United Kingdom-Libyan trade during the past five years.

The British Government neither promote nor discourage trade with Libya. Figures for United Kingdom trade with Libya over the past five years are given in the table below.
