To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many claimants of non-contributory sickness benefit are people with industrial injuries.

Mr. Hague

The number of sickness benefit claimants whose incapacity is the result of an industrial injury or a prescribed industrial disease who did not satisfy the contribution conditions and are in receipt of benefit is 1,000.
