To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on United Kingdom-Libyan relations at the latest date.

There are still issues of major concern which prevent an improvement in bilateral relations.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many United Kingdom citizens are employed in Libya according to latest statistics; and what was the figures five years ago.

There are no figures available of British nationals employed in Libya. However, between 1990 and 1992, we estimate that there were 5,000 United Kingdom citizens in Libya.
