§ Mr. NorrisI expect to discuss aspects of this report with representatives of the cyclists' public affairs group, when I meet them soon. I am pleased that the report recognises the opportunity offered by the new package approach to local transport funding. Our circular on transport policies and programmes draws local authorities' attention to the importance of incorporating cycling provision within their package bids where appropriate. We shall give due weight to such provision in the forthcoming settlement.
