Member for Meirionnydd Nant Conwy, (Mr. Llwyd), what further action he now proposes to amend section 44 of the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994 following further consideration of European Court of Justice verdicts in relation to the acquired rights directive.
§ Mr. RedwoodThe Government are considering what changes may be necessary to legislation on redundancy as a result of the European Court of Justice's rulings. It will not be necessary to amend section 44 of the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994 if changes are made only to the legislation mentioned in subsection (1).
