§ Mr. SoamesA common military doctrine would significantly assist the conduct of UN peacekeeping operations. The United Kingdom has been active in discussions on this issue. As part of our contribution to this debate the British Army are preparing a manual on peacekeeping on which we have consulted closely at the United Nations.
