HC Deb 03 November 1994 vol 248 c1384W
Mr. Dalyell

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has had from Sir Terence Clark, the ambassador to Iraq from 1985 to 1989, about the condition of Her Majesty's embassy in Baghdad; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

No such representations have been received, though we are aware of Sir T. Clarke's concerns.

Remedial work on the embassy is unfortunately impractical in present circumstances.
