Exemptions from the Act are granted to collections which consist entirely of animals which are normally domesticated in Great Britain. Establishments which have been granted exemptions are not considered to meet the definition of zoo within the meaning of the Act by virtue of the fact that wild animals are not being exhibited to the public.
