To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects to publish the side orders on the A6(M) Stockport north-south bypass.

This is an operational matter for the Highways Agency. I have asked the chief executive to write to my hon. Friend.

Letter from Lawrie Haynes to Sir Thomas Arnold, dated 2 November 1994: Mr Watts, the Minister for Roads and Railways, has asked me to reply to your Parliamentary Question to the Secretary of State regarding the A6(M) Stockport North-South bypass, as this is an operational matter for the Highways Agency. We expect to publish fresh Orders early in 1995 with a view to holding a public inquiry in the Autumn.
