To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many bail hostel places exist in London for(a) men and (b) women.

In the Greater London area, comprising the inner London, south-east London, south-west London, north-east London and Middlesex probation areas, there are currently a total of 349 approved hostel places. Of these, 273 are designated for men, 28 for women, and a further 48 are available for men or women as required.
