To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will list for each year since 1986 the amount of investment made by the Government into the Coal Research Establishment.

Projects paid for by the know-how fund.

Other ad hoc income from Government.

Investment for subsequent years up to 1997 totals £7.6 million for contracts already in place between CRE and DTI.
