§ Mr. Douglas HoggWe are very concerned about reports of Iranian involvement in terrorism and have regular contacts with our partners in the European Union about how best to tackle this issue. We and our European partners have promoted resolutions at the UN General Assembly and the UN Commission on Human Rights expressing our concern, while the latter resolution also urged the Government of Iran to refrain from activities against members of the Iranian opposition abroad and to co-operate wholeheartedly with the authorities of other countries in investigating and punishing offences reported by them.
