How many claims have been made against the Ministry of Defence by Service personnel for compensation for serious injury in each of the years 1989 to 1993 inclusive, and how many are still outstanding for each year.

The figures given are for total number of claims received in each calendar year, but no distinction is made as to the degree of injury. The number of claims outstanding includes those where liability is not in question but where the amount of compensation is yet to be agreed.
