§ Mr. Win GriffithsTo ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will list the schools involved in his schools-based initial teacher training pilot programme indicating for each school the number of children receiving prescribed extra support to overcome learning difficulties which are not the subject of statements, the number of children who have been assessed for statements in the last year and the number of children who have statements of special educational need.

Member, enclosing a list of those schools involved in the first round of the school-centred initial teacher training scheme and showing the number of pupils with a statement of special education needs as shown in the 1993 school performance tables. The other information requested is not collected centrally.
