§ Sir John CopeThe cost to the Treasury in 1993–94 of calls made on car telephones and mobile telephones excluding VAT was £2,332 and £1,585 respectively. The telephones themselves cost between £140 and £500 depending on type. Total annual maintenance for this equipment in 1993–94 was about £250.
