To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the expenditure on management and financial consultants by his Department in 1992–93.

The Treasury's computer systems do not distinguish between management and financial consultants.
The Treasury's expenditure on consultants for 1992–93 was £2,430,405 exclusive of VAT.
