To ask the President of the Board of Trade on what date the interdepartmental lire safety scrutiny is expected to report its findings to Ministers; and on what date that report will be(a) made available to the House and to the public and (b) published.

The report of the interdepartmental fire safety scrutiny is due to be completed on 25 May and will then be submitted by the scrutiny team to my right hon. Friends the President of the Board of Trade, the Home Secretary and the Secretaries of State for Employment and for the Environment.

No decisions will be taken about publication until ministerial colleagues have had an opportunity to consider the report.
