§ Mr. AlisonClergy remuneration is linked to the category of post, with no differentiation on the ground of gender. In 1993 the average stipend for clergy of incumbent status was £12,830. The equivalent figure for assistant staff was £12,140. Both figures take account of fee income, which was on average about £750 per head. Accommodation, free of rent, is provided.
