§ Mr. Matthew BanksTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Security when he will introduce arrangements to allow people receiving benefits for incapacity to do voluntary work.
§ Mr. ScottRegulations were laid before Parliament on 22 April 1994 and come into force today. These regulations will enable people to continue to be accepted as incapable of work for the purposes of sickness benefit, invalidity benefit and severe disablement allowance if they are doing voluntary work for up to 16 hours a week.
