§ Mr. Lennox-BoydBoth United Kingdom and China are parties to CITES—the convention on international trade in endangered species—which effectively bans international trade in the most endangered species such as the rhino. Hong Kong is included in the United Kingdom's ratification of the convention and was recently commended by the CITES standing committee for its rigorous implementation.
