§ Mr. MorganTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on the breaking up of the rural affairs tourism and countryside section of his Department; 205W what proposals he has had for ensuring that rural affairs are not downgraded by alterations in his administrative structure; and what proposals he has for improving co-operation between policy making on rural affairs, tourism and countryside matters.
§ Mr. RedwoodI refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave to the hon. and learned Member for Montgomery (Mr. Carlisle) today. The new arrangements will facilitate the co-ordination of policies on rural and tourism development throughout Wales and bring together sponsorship responsibility for the relevant agencies. The reorganisation will also provide within a single group comprehensive coverage of conservation, environmental and planning matters.
