asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will confirm that the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food had a laboratory at CDE Nancekuke in the 1950s, and, if they did, to whom the MAFF personnel were responsible; to whom they reported; and from which departmental budget their research and personnel costs were paid.

The records of both the Chemical and Biological Defence Establishment and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food have been checked but nothing has been found which indicates that the Ministry (or its predecessors) had a laboratory at Nancekuke in the 1950s.
