HL Deb 09 May 1994 vol 554 c75WA
Lord Cocks of Hartcliffe

asked the Chairman of Committees:

What was the original estimate of the cost of the ramp installed in Royal Court; what was its final cost; and by how much was the final cost increased by the failure to deal properly with the drainpipe on installation.

The Chairman of Committees (Lord Ampthill)

The original tender price for the disabled ramp in Royal Court was £40,000. After additional works were added including kerbs and re-routing of the downpipe, the final cost will be approximately £43,000. Of this, the work to re-route the downpipe is estimated to have cost approximately £900.
