To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the present policy of the Forest Service Department of Agriculture, Northern Ireland in respect of planting in proximity to public roads.

The general policy of the Forest Service is to keep planting back 10 to 20 m from the edge of a public road. The average distance would be about 15 m.
