§ Mrs. Ann TaylorTo ask the Secretary of State for Education what is his estimate of the number of surplus places in each city technology college.
§ Mr. Robin SquireI refer the hon. Member to the reply that I gave to the hon. Member on 14 March 1994,Official Report, column 530. Recruitment at age 11 is over-subscribed for all city technology colleges, and we expect them all to be full to capacity once the build-up phase is complete. It makes no sense to describe the position therefore as involving surplus places.
