Mr. Redmond

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if she will list by county how many applications for payment of sheep annual premium she has received in the current year; and what proportion in each county remained unpaid on 1 March.

Mr. Jack

The table shows for each county the total number of claims under the 1994 sheep annual premium scheme lodged with the Ministry. No claims have been paid as at 1 March. It is expected that the first advance payment will be made in the autumn in the usual way.
