To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what consideration he is giving to amending the existing Government policy on no compulsory HIV/AIDS testing of service personnel; what factors have led him to maintain the current position; and if he will make a statement.

My Department has no plans to change the policy of voluntary HIV/AIDS testing of service personnel.
