§ Mr. MorganTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what consultations he has had with the chairman of the Cardiff Bay development corporation and with Balfour Beatty Costain Construction consortium in relation to the start date of the barrage construction contract and the complaints by the environment directorate of the European Union, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the World Wide Fund for Nature regarding the Cardiff bay barrage and the Cardiff bay site of special scientific interest.
§ Mr. RedwoodI have had no such discussions with Balfour Beatty Costain. The chairman of the development corporation has been kept fully informed of the position regarding the complaint to the European Commission.
