Dr. Hampson

To ask the Secretary of State for Education how much was spent by each local education authority on books and equipment, in constant prices, for each of the last five years.

Information on total expenditure by each local education authority on books and equipment for the years 1988–89 to 1992–93, in 1992–93 prices, is given in the following table.
