§ Mr. Lennox-BoydI am aware of a proposal for the construction of an airfield on St. Helena and the subsequent introduction of an air service to the islands. While this could bring benefits to the island's economy, it would also be costly.
The Government of St. Helena has not so far approached Her Majesty's Government about this matter. Should we receive such an approach, we will consider it very carefully.
