To ask the President of the]Board of Trade whether he will ensure that the forthcoming White Paper on competitiveness will include an analysis of United Kingdom and world exports of manufactures since 1979 similar to that in the article published in the 18 November 1966 issue of the Board of Trade journal.

The White Paper on competitiveness will be presented to the House later in the year.
