To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what is the latest figure for those in full-time training and also included in the count of the work force in employment.

In Great Britain, in December 1993, there were 428,000 participants on Government training programmes who were included in the count of the work force in employment. This figure comprises those people whose training has an element of work experience, including those with a contract of employment.
