To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the cost of the RMS St. Helena.

§ Mr. Lennox-Boyd
The construction cost of the RMS St. Helena was £32.4 million, financed by Her Majesty's Government during the period 1987 to 1991. The annual operating subsidy, which varies, amounts to £911,000 in 1993–94.
