§ The Earl of ArranThe Joint Nature Conservation Committee has a complement of 56 permanent posts, six of which were vacant on 1 March 1994. There is no complement for fixed term appointees or casual staff, the numbers of which are determined by the Committee's work programme and constrained only by the budgetary provisions. On 1 March, five fixed term posts were unfilled.

§ The Earl of ArranThe total staff budget for the Joint Nature Conservation Committee for permanent posts for 1 April 1993—31 March 1994 is £1.218 million and for 1 April 1994—31 March 1995 is £1.258 million. The budget for non permanent staff in 1993–94 is £0.935 million. A similar figure is projected for 1994–95.
