Whether there is a European Union single market standard for fire tube industrial boilers.

This is a matter for the British Standards Institution, which is independent of government. However, I am advised that fire tube industrial boilers are shell boilers, which are specified in BSI's national standard BS 2790: 1992. At present there is no published European standard. However, such a European standard for shell boilers is being drafted by the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN), based on international standard ISO 5730, but expanded to include vertical, electrode and other types of shell boiler. Its publication has been targeted for 1997.
