To ask the President of the Board of Trade what is the print run of the code for central Government enforcement; and to whom it is being distributed.

The initial print run of "Working with Business: a Code for Enforcement Agencies" was 70,000.

The code was initially distributed to all Government Departments, DTI regional offices and to all the enforcement agencies listed in the code for them to distribute to their customers and to any other interested parties as required.

The code has also been sent to all local authorities, the British Retail Consortium, the Federation of Small Businesses, the Association of British Chambers of Commerce and all branches of the Confederation of British Industry.

In addition, numerous copies of the code have been sent out to any individual, company or organisation that has expressed an interest in seeing it.
